Energy and environment: Sustainability and security
The chapter defines environmental sustainability and creates a linkage between energy and the environment. It highlights the impact of both renewable energy technologies and nonrenewable energy usages on the environment. The complementarities and conflict of energy security and environmental securities are discussed along with some case studies.
